Below is an email that I received from one of our parents telling me about a text message from her late father-in-law, Pastor Charles Sansom of Ft. Walton Beach who passed away in September of 2018. I am so grateful and moved by her testimony and very happy that all 3 of her children joined us for summer camp this year.  Mrs. Sansom’s daughter still continues as a member of our after-school program while the 2 younger children attend Liza Jackson Prep School’s after school program. I thank you Mrs.Sansom for sharing, Sincerely, Nellie Bogar

Hello,

I just wanted to send you an email to say “thank you so much” to you and the staff of the Youth Village for such a wonderful summer.  My kids have had the best time and made so many friends this summer.  Every morning when I drop the kids off the teachers are so excited to see the kids and each afternoon when I come to get the kids the teachers are engaged and playing.  Youth Village is truly a blessing.

On a more personal note, I also wanted to add a testimony. Last September we suddenly lost my father in law who also happened to be our pastor. About two weeks before he passed away last year, he sent me a text message saying that he had been praying for me that day. There was quite a bit to this text that I hold very dear, but there is something that I would like to share with you. You see, my father in law knew that I was hoping to return to work after being home for 5 years with the kids (he also knew I had some anxiety about leaving them) and he said, “God is going to supernaturally make a way for you to return to work and your children are going to be well taken care of.” You all are the fulfilment of that promise. I have left my children every morning knowing they were in great hands and that they are well taken care of. Thank you so much for that. Thank you for the discount you gave us and thank you for the love everyone poured out on my kids. I’m so happy to be a part of the Youth Village family.

  1. This touched my heart so much. As mommies it is such a hard decision to go back to work and trust someone else to care for our children. I am so grateful that we have the opportunity to ease that anxiety and that we are trusted to care for their most precious blessings.
