Almost 20 years ago I had a dream that I couldn’t and wouldn’t let go of. I didn’t even know how it would come to fruition. I just had faith in the Lord and kept putting one foot in front of the other. I wanted to have a safe place for kids to meet after school, so I slowly surrounded myself with positive like-minded people and the dream continued to grow and grow and my place for the kids kept larger and larger over the years…way larger than I ever dreamed it would.
Sometimes it seems like it takes forever for your dreams to materialize! You pray, you work, you wait, you pray and then…you wait some more.
And now at last…the walls are tumbling down!
We’re finally on our way to having a much larger place of our own for even more kids! It took a while, but all good things come to those who wait. And I’ve still got a lot of those like-minded people hanging in there with me. Especially my daughter Valerie, who is my rock!
Patience is one of the hardest things about being human. We want it and we want it NOW!!!
But patience is a virtue….and when the Lord says wait…that’s exactly what you should do…and do it with grace! I’ve learned!
