Awards and Certificates

  • 1999: awarded a Certificate of Completion for “Designing a Program and Writing a Proposal” from the Escambia Juvenile Justice Council and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice
  • The 2003 Florida Business Partners for Juvenile Justice, Inc. nominated Nellie Bogar and Youth Village as the 2003 Delinquency Prevention Statewide Conference in Orlando as one of the best programs in the North Section.
  • 2005: Awarded Certificate of Completion: Mentoring Training on the Policies and Procedures of the Okaloosa County School District Mentoring Program.
  • 2008: was inducted into the Okaloosa County Status of Women Hall of Fame and received the Carolyn Spencer Humanitarian Award. This award is made to women who have made significant contributions to the welfare of the human and/or animal populations of Okaloosa County
  • 2017: cover story and feature article in the March/April edition of Emerald Ladies Journal
