Giving Tuesday is coming soon, and at Youth Village we know that while it is important to always offer a helping hand to children in need, it is just as important for children to learn that they should give back as well. That is why we are getting the children involved in the Giving Tuesday spirit.
Rock painting was a fun fad that was very popular a few years ago, but something simple that kids can do to feel like they are involved in something positive. The Youth Village kids have painted rocks that will have kind messages on them. Then we will ask them to pass the rocks around in their community to pass the kindness on to others.
If you find a rock from one of our Youth Village kids, we’re asking that you take a picture of yourself with the rock to put on our Facebook page, and then hide the rock somewhere else to spread the kindness in our community!
We are doing this in anticipation of our Giving Tuesday event that will be happening on Tuesday, December 3rd. This will be a fun Christmas-themed event that is intended to help us get items from our Amazon wish list. Anyone who orders an item or makes a cash donation will be entered into a raffle for a gift. This event will also be catered by Panda Express! We are so excited for this upcoming event and hope to see you there!
